Robin Romanini, devoted mother of two daughters and a son – and grandmother of two, passed away on Saturday, April 2, at age 58. Robin battled illness for the past several years; she died peacefully in her home. A tremendous athlete as a youth, Robin was one of the first girls to play fast-pitch hardball on the (predominantly) boys Little League in Avon Lake, Ohio – and she more than held her own. Indeed, a perennial all-star pitcher, Robin was known for her fastball (that most batters simply could not keep up with). In her later years, Robin spent most of her time caring for her grandchildren, Juliana and Jaiden. The bond between Robin and her grandchildren was truly something to behold – their mutual love undeniable. Children and grandchildren notwithstanding, there was nothing Robin enjoyed more than a fine lobster dinner (with plenty of butter). Robin was a strong-minded woman with a heart of gold – she will be missed.
Robin was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 2, 1963 – she graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1982. Robin earned her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1992, and served as an LPN for 20+ years. Her many patients knew her to be a kind and dedicated nurse. Robin is survived by her children, Nicole, Ashley and Kyle, her father, Robert (Bob), her grandchildren, her sister, Kimberly, brothers Randy, Rickey and Robert (Beau),and son in law Miklos Groves. She was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta (Birdie).
A Celebration of Life Fellowship Dinner is tentatively scheduled for 3:30 pm 2393 Professor Ave
Cleveland, OH 44113 (Bourbon Street Barrel Room)
