John Phillips Obituary

No Public Viewing

In memory of John G Phillips (Sonny), Age 70, who passed away peacefully on Sunday May 29, 2022. John was born on January 26, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a proud Army Veteran and a retired school bus driver for the City of Cleveland.

Sonny was an avid hunter and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a man of many talents. Sonny could build and fix just about anything. He was an avid story teller and loved to share his knowledge of any topic there was. Even through his recent struggles he maintained his sharp witty personality and always put the needs of others before his own.

He was a friend to many and would offer a hand to anyone in need, but most of all Sonny was the greatest husband and the most amazing father there could be. He is a legend and our hero.

He was the loving husband of 50 years to Karen (née Conrad). Loving and Proud father of John, Joseph (Christine), Kassandra (Darryl), and Jason (Dawn). Cherished and proud grandfather of 7: Brittany, Miranda, Emily, Aubrey, Kadence, Jason and Miranda. The loving brother of Marylynn and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was loved by many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Helen(née Kurowski), Brother Earl and Sister Barbara

The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support.
